Teams ranked in the Kenpom top 60:

Big East: 4 (36%)
SEC: 9 (64%)

(And it was a down year for the SEC.)

The Big East has had success with Villanova and Xavier — thanks to Jay Wright and Chris Mack (who is now at Louisville) — but other than those two programs the league has been nothing to write home about. I do think the recent addition of UConn bolsters its profile, but the Huskies have been mediocre since Calhoun retired (and Ollie ran out of his players).
