You can argue rights are endowed by god, fate, or a purple unicorn if you prefer.

The reality, is those rights mean little when dealing with a dictatorship, communist, or socialist regime.

Some like to argue the only solution is no govt, pretending that in total anarchy rights will be completely respected.

Despite thousands of years of evidence showing that's not true either.

It makes for lovely bulletin board talks, that in the end, are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
