on the school intercom. More world leaders and celebrities were shot at & or killed back then. The events weren't nearly as sensationalized as they would be today, and (w/ Reagan) the media by & large feigned concern. Had Trump been shot during his term (or now), it would not even be expected for the media to refrain from cheering for a poor outcome (for Trump).

Please explain why this message is being reported.
