how close he came to actually dying.

Challenger I was in school and they had it on tv (teacher was from the next state over, so was big deal at that time). When they made an announcement, the room I was in did not have an intercom, but it was like an eerie feeling, and someone told us what was said a minute or so later. I know there were a bunch that were watching it on tv there though
