2017 he inherited Geist, Barnett, the Porters, and all the recruits & transfers who followed the Porters to MU.
That first roster was loaded:
Jontay
Kassius (who said he chose MU because of the Porters)
Tilmon (who flipped for the same reason)
Geist
Barnett
It was a tournament team capable of making a run.
And we saw what this year's team looked like without Tilmon for a few games... it wasn't pretty. We finished a mediocre .500 in league play and a late-season collapse that culminated in a first-round KO in the tourney.
In terms of wins/losses so far, I give Cuonzo a B or B-. However, in terms of recruiting (mainly the past 3 years) I give him a D- (he'll have to pull off a recruiting miracle in the off-season to avoid a complete collapse next year). Overall, I give him a C-, mediocre and slightly below average.
