We finished 7th. Go to a chalkboard and see if you can possibly figure out how someone can say finishing 7th is exceeding expectations when we were expected to finish 10th.
Try writing down numbers like 7 and 10. Try writing down the word expectation and seeing if you can define it. Try making a number line if you're having trouble. Where is 7 on the line? Where is 10 on the line? Are those the same number? Are they in the same place on the line? Get ready for an advanced question: How do the numbers 7, 10, and expectations relate in terms of Missouri basketball?
After this exercise, do you still not see "how we possibly could have exceeded expectations"?
