He's not going anywhere unless he decides to leave. The program simply can't afford another failed coach because it affects your ability to hire a new one. We've seen that. Anderson left, we got Haith because no one else we wanted would take the job, Haith left and we got ANDERSON, which was sold as a return of Norm via one of his old assistants but was really a have to hire because no one else will take the job.
Then Anderson is fired, we get Cuonzo, who was not our first choice (sound familiar?). He's not going anywhere.
Now next year will be a true test of his coaching and recruiting skills since the cupboard is going to be empty, he'll have to adjust with what he has and/or get some instant impact transfers / recruits.
Overall, I do think this team underperformed and the fact that they had the same problems...blowing leads, inability to build leads and low basketball IQ type play generally, especially in big spots, is really about coaching.
This team started strong, was at the top of the mountain in terms of play and then slid down all the way to the bottom, which was last night.
