It's interesting that the prosecution is asking to file a 3rd-degree murder charge. That seems to be telling that they think they don't have enough for 2nd degree murder.
As far as the jury goes, who is likely to be on it? There's likely to *not* be any conservative types on it because they know they'd be targeted if they came back not guilty.
It is likely that there would be liberal types on there that would return a guilty verdict, regardless.
So, what goes on in the head of the juror that thinks, given the evidence presented at trial, that Chauvin is not guilty? Not only do they have to weigh the evidence presented, but surely they must know of the consequences of a not guilty finding.
My suspicion is this either ends with a guilty verdict or a hung jury.
