didn't have the capital to buy? Do you think that requiring fully funded accounts would have given them them the necessary capital? If you want to pay $200 for a $10 stock, to squeeze a short, do it with your own money - seems like a simple concept.

Instead of simply halting trading on those stocks, Robinhood should have advised its customers that they would only proceed with orders that were fully funded by the customer (i.e. stop the ****ing margin trades.)
