I'm not suggesting that we ostracize these people but let's not pretend it is something it is not.

If someone is born without legs do we pretend that they are a new type of person or do we admit that they were born without legs and try to help them adapt as much as possible?

Most transgenders were born with a chromosomal defect let's help them adapt and live as normal a life as possible.
