gotten involved in Bush V Gore.
And since the Constitution clearly assigns the role of elections to the States, I fail to see how this is a Federal Supreme Court issue.
It is quite amazing how the Supreme Court has used many things in the Constitution (Defense, Equal Protection Clause, interstate commerce) to give the Federal Government tremendous power that was never intended for it.
