The slippery slope argument is very persuasive as well. If blacks get reparation for slavery, the Jews have 5,000 years of reparation payments due and owing.
Not to mention this will only create a bigger racial divide in the country. You can't cherry pick the suffering of one entire group without compensating some within that group who have not suffered, while ignoring the suffering of individuals who are part of a larger group that generally has not endured the same type suffering.
We have enough bitterness and backbiting over race in this country.
