I'm not taking sides on this divorce, but it seemed inevitable to me. Egos that large have a tough time co-existing, and I know Whitlock has burned nearly every bridge he's crossed.
IMO Whitlock has never been about reporting, and that goes back to his time with the Star, he's been about himself. He's neither a great writer nor storyteller, and he wasn't great on TV either. He's been outshone by his counterpart at nearly every stop.
It'll be interesting to see his next landing spot.
