culture war. The left figured out some time ago that if you want to control the message you need to control the language.
They made a concerted effort to take over academia, the right seeing no real monetary value there simply let them. What the right failed to realize is that the group that controls the language can slowly change cultural norms as the left has been doing over the last fifty years.
We are forced to fight a battle of wills with them using words that they get to define. When things start going wrong for them they simply change the meaning of the words we are using. Read any Pickle thread and you will see multiple examples of this very thing.
