False. There is God and Satan, and good and evil; but they are not equal. God is supreme, and sets limits on evil, Job Chapter 1. He allows people freedom of choice, while never losing sovereign control.

You view of what monotheists believed fails to discuss the original monotheists of mankind, Adam and Eve, believed about the God with whom they walked. They ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

There is more than God. There are the things which God created. Nothing more clearly refutes the false teaching that God is everything than the new birth, where the believer is born of the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God takes up residence in the physical body of the believer, as the body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit. That is wholly inconsistent with the false notion that "there is nothing but God". God would not have to come into the new believer if He was the new believer and sinners, or already in the new believer and sinners.

"Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

The Israelites proclaimed the truth there is ONE GOD who created all and rules over all.

"So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth..."

The same God who made man "in Our image, according to Our likeness ..."
