In all fairness to FMB, Gicinto looked like a stud coming

into this season.
He and Barrett Bannister were at least catching the phucking ball.
We had some freshman with a hyphenated name drop three phucking punts in a row and now we have a 'possession' punt returner who just tries to field the punt but not run (no speed) - Gicinto could have been used there.
As for the big-time stud transfers Chism and Hazelton - they've both been massive duds, with Hazelton clearly showing jarring chemistry problems with Bazelak - whereas Gicinto seems to both catch and yac well with just about anyone.
So, whether Drink was favoring his own recruits or what - I do agree, we're absolutely dying in the skillz area and de-emphasizing Gicinto was a real head-scratcher - he's one of those guys that looks too small, but he just knows how to ball, kinda like Marcus Murphy a little bit.
Anyway, I wish him well - transferring is a tough business - I hope some other coach sees the potential we saw plumbed last year...
