idea that scientists are apolitical, capable of consciously and subconsciously separating their work from their other thoughts is as comical as it is popular.
This is especially true with clusters of scientists in institutions big-time funding from sources with agendas.
Don't think like a child, rask.
Or worse, don't lie to prop up "science" to clumsily wield like a cudgel.
