College Basketball Career (1925-1930): With no athletic scholarship offers, he played one year of basketball at Dixie College in 1925-26. In the summer of 1926 he was offered a scholarship by Montana State College at Bozeman, MT. He accepted the offer and the rest is history. As a member of the famed Golden Bobcats he went on to be a four year All American (1927, 28, 29 and 30). In 1929 the Golden Bobcats were National Champions and Cat was selected National Player of the Year.




I guess because he did a year a Dixie College he was allowed to play 4 at Montana State, maybe?
