Wealth white people built the fortunes they've held for decades on the backs of slave labor.
White people had many extra decades to accumulate the wealth they hold that now basically makes money on itself with Wall Street working so well for those with huge fortunes.
That doesn't even consider him crow and suppression of black upward mobility.
I agree with the step by step method of improvement and generation after generation step up, but don't act like white suppression has not put the black community where they are as a whole. With of course individuals getting out of it, although most only get out by being entertainment for white people.
