in a nation that has laws, because *any* law would impose restrictions on what companies can do to compete. For example, you can't murder your competitors.
That's why economists consider many economic systems to be "free markets" despite the fact that they have laws and regulations.
It's also why the vast majority of free market proponents (all but a few idiots, like you) agree that certain laws/regulations are necessary.
