But in many cases, the police have escalated the situation, and the presence of the DHS certainly has in Portland. And much of the claims of violence are being overblown. Worse than Afghanistan? Really?

My biggest issue is that Trump is using the DHS as a militia to boost his sagging election chances. If he was 10 points ahead in the polls rather than 15 points behind, the DHS would not be in Portland right now.
