First of all, the OP posted an article from a notoriously extreme right wing publication that has been caught in several lies in the last month so I would regard anything in that article as less than credible.

Secondly, what is my generation? I suspect I am older than you. I am very familiar with how the gestapo operated and the tactics have been very similar to what has been practiced in Portland. And the DHS was created to protect the country from external terrorist threats so they are not doing anything close to their foundational job; they are acting more as a private militia for the president (and those are words of the original head of the DHS). Local police have the authority to protect people and property, not the DHS. Unless they are invited into a city by the mayor of the city, they should not be there. The situation in Portland is blown way out of proportion.
