It seems much of the damage caused here in Minneapolis actually had little to do with the protests. They used the cover of darkness and masks to do a lot of the damage.

It is funny reading the various comments by so called NASCAR fans on social media as reactions to this stuff.

One of the best stories told by Dale's daughter...He had a black friend over and on his truck he had a confederate flag that said southern pride. The black friend quietly said what how they felt about the flag. A few hours later, it was scraped off the truck by Dale. he just did it, did not do it loudly, but realized a friend of his was offended, and quietly took away that offense.

Unfortunately, we live in a time where both the offended and the offensive feel the need to very loudly proclaim their side.
