I was at that game where the Mead pic was taken - it was a fundraiser event in the summer and featured 3R alum and current players.....and yes, his head was probably at rim level before the pic was snapped. I've posted that pic on here a couple times....

I saw Mead for 2 years at 3R and one of his seasons at SEMO. It really was cartoonish the way he just popped straight up off the floor. He woud post up on the baseline about 8 feet out, catch a pass, pivot and pop straight up....You had a guy who was barely 6'2" literally shooting down at the basket.
