just learning how to protect ourselves from fools who are too thick to understand or care about the dangers they pose to others.

I'm Sure you're good with people licking their thumbs to handle cash or separate one plastic bag from another; or touching their hair, face, or mouth, as they check you out, or coming from mopping out front in a restaurant without washing their hands before waiting on you; or wiping their hands on their dirty contaminated aprons as they prepare your food; and people not covering coughs.

Yep. We are definitely the cause of your problems. It has nothing to do with inconsiderate people failing to exercise basic hygiene.
