Why is it ok for companies to continue to take and take and take from the public.

And why is it wrong for a lady to sue mcdonalds after she spills hot coffee on herself and suffered third degree burns. That McDonalds franchise was warned over and over again about the temperature of their coffee and they still continued to serve it. Do they not have a responsibility to the consumer?
