Verizon, for example, took billions in subsidies to expand fiber internet access and did jack **** with it.

Musk has benefited from government subsidies and has actually produced something of value, and his successes have moved an industry toward innovation well beyond his direct reach.

I do not like the guy, but calling him a scam artist is ignorant.
