dogmatic about it are the ones who understand it it least. The nature of science is that it is always evolving, change is natural in science. The fact that these models are changing is normal, as more and better data comes in those models should change. But as the models change so should our response. We are still clinging to decisions that were made from models that suffered from flawed initial parameters and incomplete data.

If you go back to my posts when they first started shutting down things my argument was not that they were wrong but that it was too soon. Would we have made the same decisions three weeks ago if we had the current models? But most fear making changes now because what happens if we start returning and it starts all over again. They only get one shot at these shut downs the people will not do it again if they think the first was not warranted.

The initial herd mentality has locked them into this response.
