clear support for any course. Even among P5 conferences some support an extra eligibility year for all spring athletes, some support extra eligibility for just seniors, and some for neither.
Do not be surprised if the decision is to make no decision at all, at least today. Too much uncertainty over the course of the pandemic itself, and too much uncertainty over the impact of lost revenue.
One thing not to look for is to complete every spring sport in full in the fall, concurrently with college football and the NFL (assuming those sports play as well, which is not a given at all).
The sanest decisions would be to either postpone the decision because of lack of medical/health and financial information (and there is absolutely no urgency to make this decision on March 30), or to just bite the bullet and say every spring athlete used up a year of their eligibility in the 50% finished 2020 season, including seniors. And move on.
But the NCAA being a thoroughly corrupt and inept organization, don’t count on them to do the right thing. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised to be wrong.
