it's hard to get people to look down the road. We see it every day and it's just a human issue. They'll always focus on the immediate instead of the long term.

You see it with lack of savings/retirement planning. You see it with not doing proactive health and dental care. You see it with the opposition to climate change research.

And it's clear that not only did Trump not plan for it, but hospital administrators didn't plan for it as well. Why? Well, it didn't fit a bottom line profit spreadsheet.
