It's full on herd mentality now, no one wants to be the state/city that didn't do enough, so they're gonna overstep to the "better safe than sorry" side. We're too far down the slope to stop it.

Now other states are going to copy and cancel school for the year. Next step will be increased testing showing increased cases, and shelter in place will start spreading inland to other cities/states.
