That it is granting “eligibility relief” to all D1 spring sports athletes. Sorry I don’t know how to link. But it’s on the NCAA website. 4th or 5th story down.
They said the details are being worked on and will be announced at a later date.
So please tell me what you think about our 15 person freshman class in the 2021 season. And the 33 person roster. And potentially a 40 person roster in the 2022 season.
Now, I know it won’t be that high. There will be transfers and retirements. But the bloated rosters at many D1 schools are going to have lasting negative effects.
It also limits our ability to bring in a few great transfers from other schools. I like the roster now but hope LA keeps her eyes open for high quality transfers from other schools.
