It's pretty easy to understand why Italy has been clobbered. China withheld information, and people traveled from china to italy.
No private healthcare, no information about disease until it had already hit a large volume, in a crowded environment.
Sadly, this disease is showing that china's honesty, healthcare, cause problems, along with state sponsored healthcare systems being too weak to handle a crisis.
