Oh, I know that's his schtick. Engenia (BASF) and XtendiMax (Monsanto/Bayer) are formulated with safeners and drift retardants as additives. Off-labeled dicamba products, such as Clarity (BASF) are not. It was alleged that many of the Bootheal farmers were a cheaper replacement dicamba product off-label. FWIW, BASF is the technical formulator of almost all of the dicamba active ingredient used to produce end-use Dicamba herbicides in the U.S. market.
