in his second year, considering the Porter situation. But, we also should be better than we are. A reasonable expectation for this season was 20 wins and sweating the bubble.
People can argue about whether or not we should have taken the Porters. It was the best way to inject immediate talent, excitement, etc into the program. But it also interfered with the true rebuild. What if Hughes and Willie Jackson were seniors? No Porters means no Blake Harris...what if we had a junior that stuck in his place? Maybe that guy mean we don't waste a spot on Okongo and we're getting contribution from that scholarship. The what ifs are endless. But, as most will argue, it was still worth it for the attention and hope that the Porters brought.
Martin should have the team on the bubble this year and set for a Sweet 16 next year. This year is a failure. What if he meets that goal next year? Do fans think it's a blip on the radar or do they think he's gotten on track?
