No doubt Odom signed off on the Defense but it's pretty clear on the sideline that Walters was calling the scheme and engaged in all aspects of the game on the defensive side of the ball. I suspect he had less to do with the Defense than many in Ark. want to believe. You could literally see the improve from year to year as Odom's control became less and less.
