socialism and total capitalism. They almost always end up in the middle because that will give the best solution. That there are examples of intervention which tries to improve an existing condition is irrelevant to the argument. Of course intervention may fail and make it worse. Given the nature of gov't, thats to be expected.

So the first statement is wrong. The last statement is basically correct, IF there are not blatant cheaters like china and its long thefts of intellectual property paid for by another country. So screw their sorry gook ass.
