And 6-6 against this year's schedule is like 3-9 against a normal P5 schedule.
The bottom line is that Odom never should have been hired in the first place. We gave him 4 seasons but his poor recruiting eventually caught up with him when Pinkel's players graduated. Anyone paying attention could see that Odom was in way over his head. The program was clearly trending downward.
Arkansas fired its coach after 1.5 seasons.
Arizona State recently fired a coach who went 7-5 and finished 2nd place in the Pac-12 South.
So to answer your question: No, firing a .500 coach after 4 season won't hurt us at all.
