Fuente gave Odom his first DC position.

Fuente needs a DC now.

Odom was a very good DC for him at Memphis and then was a very good DC for Mizzou. His defenses for the first part of his tenure at Mizzou were terrible, but he ended with yet another damn good defense once again. If nothing else.

Virginia Tech could do a whole lot worse than hire Odom for that job.

Could also get him on the cheap, if that's a concern, because he's making fired coach money.
