That’s why the talking heads are demanding players be paid and have free movement to transfer and jump around as they please. The playoffs demand quick action. In my view and in the view of a lot of the schools you cannot wait for a 5 to 7 year turnaround. When things go south you need to act. Otherwise you’re so far in the dust you can become irrelevant for a decade or more. I like Matter but I don’t agree with his apologist attitude and those of Gregorian’s that you just wait it out or no one would come here to coach.Because when your drawing 30,000 in a 60,000 seat stadium it’s a bad look. Fans are abandoning the program in droves. With the playoff system and the TV contracts it’s more and more like the NFL and the hiring and firing of coaches has to be more like that too
