would never hear their name over the public address. How long since you have been on the sidelines at a HS FB game? When the announcer mispronounces a name every kid knows it. But you expect us to believe that no one on the team noticed that their captain was being called by the wrong name all night and just happened to be wearing a different number than he usually did?

Sorry that stretches things just a little too far to be believable. The kids knew but ultimately those responsible we the coaches and the kid in question.
