You make assumptions with regard to the locations of people groups thousands of years later, as if you have complete knowledge of everywhere they were at all times.
You make assumptions with regard to the kind and size of the building materials, and how long the ruins would last, and ignore the information in the text, regarding it's destruction, and other matters.
