prior to that. I think they should have gotten an NCAAT invite even with the weak non-con schedule, but a historically bad program like Mississippi State is not going to get the benefit of the doubt from the tournament selection committee.

Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, LSU, etc., would have gotten bids with MSU's resume that year.
