to speak Spanish to American voters?

My step family is second generation Mexican-American every single one of them was raised speaking English. They would be insulted if a candidate assumed that they could not speak English and started speaking Spanish.

American citizens speak English, if you are speaking Spanish to a group of prospective voters you are assuming that at least some of those voters are not eligible to vote.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
