I always thought this was at a minimum 3 year rebuilding job no matter who we hired. Its probably the most challenging inherited situation at a real program in the last 20 or 30 years. At a macro level he has done a good job thus far in the rebuild, and I've been impressed with some of the things he has accomplished with the pieces he did have.
That said, last year was a disaster and I wouldn't have though a real coach could have a season like that at MU. But you have to cut him some slack because of the state of the roster. I think we will learn quite a bit about the long term trajectory during the course of this year, I see this as a crucial season for him. If he has another underwhelming year the window of opportunity may close for him and we will cement ourselves as kind of an also-ran in the SEC. I don't think that is out of the realm of possibility.
