Example is that in sedimentary rocks 365 million years and younger amphibians, thus animals who spend part of their lives on land can be found. 385 million years and older only marine life can be found.

Scientists believed that the first land animals evolved from fish. So it was predicted transitional fossils between fish and amphibians would be found in sedimentary rock of about 375 million years of age.

Neil Shubin studied geological maps and found 375 million year old sedimentary rock formation described in the Canadian artic. So he led several expedition there. After the 4th attempt, they found a flat headed fish with a neck, shoulder bones and early wrist bones they named Tiktaalik.

The theory of evolution led to a prediction of the age of formations that a transitional fossil between fish and land animals would be found, and it was found.

I think even if overwhelming evidence were presented for anything there will be some segment that refuses to believe.
