I've always thought as a general guideline there is a big distinction between the 3 groups of a top 30 player, a top 75, and those below top 75. A top 30 player is almost always going to be a high level player unless something off the court distracts him or he just has terrible work ethic. Top 75 guys almost always turn into a productive player under the same guidelines with some hits as great players. And then guys outside the top 75 are all just as equally likely to become good regardless of them being #79 or #285. The scouting for anyone below top 75 seems to be mostly inaccurate.
