nothing he says has any meaning and requires being largely dismissed out of how stupid or uniformed it is. Even if he says something specifically incriminating, he doesn't know what he is talking about and can leverage his dementia to nullify it or its so patently absurd that it can't be taken seriously.

In this specific instance, being a complete imbecile is his greatest asset. Its kind of how retarded people get away with murder charges out of mental incompetence.
