I did not call Barr "a bald-faced liar". He got the job by writing an unrequested 17 page "memo" on the proposition that a president cannot obstruct or be charged with obstructing justice. Step one to cover for his boss is write a 3 page summary statement. The fourth page in that "letter" were just names and perfunctory lines. This sets a narrative of exoneration.
This is a classic half-full, half-empty line. THey have enough evidence of obstruction NOT to clear the president, but to leave that up to the Congress. Trump takes the half-full glass, leaning heavily on the fact it is half-empty and proclaims loudly and often that the glass was empty. Full exoneration. That is lie.
Step Two is the report to be released next week that will be so heavily redacted to be worthless.
