Your pappy buys a house in a HOA. He dies and leaves it to you. You don't want to be governed by that HOA. But you are forced to join and pay dues if you want to live there.. correct? You can sell it and leave... but you don't want to leave... you really like that house because you grew up there... are you there voluntarily?

so you stay in the house and don't pay the HOA dues... the HOA threatens you with foreclosure for nonpayment.... you pay.

Was it voluntary? You CHOSE to stay in that house that had a HOA and fees and rules.....

How is that different than say... you were born and raised in the US and you become an adult and don't want to live by the rules that were forced on you when your parents decided to stay in the US... You don't WANT to follow the rules and pay taxes.. but you are forced to by staying in the US... You can leave the country, but you don't want to do that..

Are you in the country voluntarily?
